The book I read was Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. This book was 280 pages long. Another book by Rick Riordan is Percy Jackson and the Lighting Theif . If you like Greek mythology you will definitely like Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. I love how the author wrote in first person because I could see things from Percy’s perspective and think things through the way he thinks.

Once there was a camp named camp half blood. It was a place for half humans and half god and Percy Jackson was one of them.  An evil villian poisoned the Thalia’s  tree that makes the magical boarders to the camp to protect them from monsters. There is a Greek myth that there was a magical object called the golden fleece and it had healing powers. Percy and his friend named Annabeth  went on a quest to find the golden fleece. If they didn’t find the golden fleece before the summer ends the camp will be over run by monsters and destroyed for eternity. They think that the golden fleece is in the sea of monsters and no one has ever made it out of the sea of monsters alive. On the way they find out that Grover               ( another friend of Percy) is with the golden fleece and is in grave danger. If you want to know what happens to Percy, Annabeth, and Grover read to find out. Don’t miss Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

The book I read was Fuzzy Mud by  Louis Sachar. This book is 178 pages long . Something you might not know is that Louis Sachar wrote the Newbery medal winner for the book Holes. This book is similar to Stranded because the conflict in this story is similar to the problem in Stranded. Both of the conflicts involve nature hurting Humans. I love how the author wrote the story in two different time lines that slowly met up.

A few years ago there was a very smart man with a very clever ideas named Jonathan Fitzman. He wanted to help with the problem of over population. So he made bioline but it was not very safe and it could effect people in strange ways. Tamaya Dhilwaddi was one of those people who was effected. Before she was effected she walked home every day with a friend of hers named Marshall. Marshall was being bullied by a jerk named Chad and Chad challenged him to fight him in the woods after school. Marshall told Tamaya that he found out about a short cut and when they got into the woods and Chad was there. Tamaya threw “fuzzy mud” into Chad’s face to stop  him from hurting Marshall.  After they got out of the woods Tamaya noticed her hand was tingling and had red marks, who knew how Chad was feeling with his face tingling. Read Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar.
